Following the AGM on May 25 the AmCham Board elected a new President - Helen Mets-Morris. Helen is Vice President and General Manager of Avery Dennison’s global materials division, Commercial Graphics and Reflective Products.
Helen, AmCham's first female president in its 50 year history, succeeds Raoul Oberman who is moving to Jakarta to run McKinsey & Co's operations in Indonesia. Raoul was AmCham President from 2006-2011.

Minister of Finance Jan Kees de Jager Speaks to AmCham
|

During the luncheon following the AGM on May 25 AmCham was pleased to welcome the Netherlands Minister of Finance as guest speaker. During his speech Minister De Jager reviewed the long standing investment and trade relationship the US and the Netherlands have enjoyed for over 200 years. He also highlighted on the measures the present government is taking to improve the investment climate.
Minister De Jager will be visiting the US next month to meet with US and Dutch companies there as well as with US government officials. Among others, the purpose of his visit will be to explore possible new funding structures for Dutch companies - both here in the Netherlands as in the US.
