On Thursday the 18th of July, Kasteel de Wittenburg was the scene of the extraordinary council meeting for the installation of the new mayor, Leendert de Lange. A large amount of people from Wassenaar were present, as well as forty ambassadors, memebers of the upper and lower house of the Netherlands parliament and the entire municipality of Voorschoten.
In total there were 350 invited guests.
